Description
Photograph of the exterior view of Nathan Jacoby Restaurant on the east side of Broadway, south of Third Street, ca.1890. In the background at center, a narrow, large two-story home with two children and a woman standing on the front porch can be seen. The children stand along the steps near one of the columns supporting the covered porch, while the woman stands near the other column. Above the entryway, a railing is visible near on of the home's elongated windows. To the immediate right, a semi-cylindrical portion of the house lined with two sets of three windows protrudes outwards. Another home with similar architecture can be seen to the far left. In the foreground at center, a gate encloses the perimeters of the property. There are no signs to indicate it is a restaurant. In the extreme background at right, additional homes are visible.
