Description
Photograph of the La Vista Terrace bungalow court with an unidentified building in the background, ca.1920-1929. Two rows of bungalows can be seen, one at right and one at left. The bungalows are small, light-colored buildings with Romanesque flourishes like columns and molding. A concrete sidewalk runs between them and is lined with small grassy areas. Several young trees can be seen along the walkway as well. In the background, a massive dark building is visible. Two tall brick chimneys and a rectangular tower stick up from its roof. "A typical California bungalow court in Los Angeles, where a central patio, set to flowers and shrubbery, furnishes a garden spot for eleven private homes."
