Description
Photograph of the residence of Judge Silent, Adams Street (later, on Chester Place), Los Angeles, ca.1888. Perspective is from the sidewalk in front looking through the main gate down a broad paved path to the house. Stone columns topped with urns straddle the entrance. The wrought iron gates are open. Rose bushes bloom on both sides. Tall trees obscure most of the house. Streetscape. Horizontal photography.
