Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Thomas P. McCrae residence (later the site of the Los Angeles Investment Building, then the C.C. Chapman Building) on the northeast corner of Eighth Street and Broadway, Los Angeles, before 1912. A girls stands holding a doll to the left of a woman approximately one third taller than her on the sidewalk in front of the one-story Victorian-style clapboard-veneered home. A third woman sits in a parked horse-drawn carriage to the right. The house's porch and steps are turned to the left. Several of its shutters are open on the camera-facing side.
