Description
Photograph of the exterior front of the mansion occupied by the Doheny's (and Judge Silent) on Chester Place (near Adams Boulevard), Los Angeles, 1902, viewed from the house next door. Several large palms (different varieties) grow in the front yard. The 2-story-plus dwelling with tile roof sports a tower with a hexagonally shaped roof on the front of the house. A walk leads straight up to the house from the street (at right, not visible). A low hedge separates the Doheny property from the house (in the foreground) next door.
