Cerebral Palsy, 13 February 1953. Doctor Robert Harrington (Speech Pathologist at Orthopaedic Hospital uses new iron lung); John Troost (patient); Mrs. Ruby Colwell (Pre-school teacher at hospital). ; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Monteverde. Date: 1953-02-13. Reporter: Clausen. Assignment: Cerebral Palsy. For Sunday, 1953-02-15. Dr. Robert Harrington, speech pathologist at Orthopaedic Hospital, uses new iron lung therapy on John Troost, 5, a cerebral palsied patient. Microphone is to record his voice before, during and after treatment. Machine at right is pneumograph to record rhythm of breathing. Dr. Harrington, with same boy, john Troost and Mrs. Ruby Colwell, pre-school teacher at hospital."
