General view of bridge down (one span of Olive avenue Los Angeles River overpass).; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Wesselmann. Date: 1956-07-19. Reporter: alone. Assignment: Olive Ave. Bridge span knocked out in Compton. 9-10-11-12-71-72: One span of the Olive Ave. L.A. River overpass traffic bridge was knocked out early this morning when a road breaking piece of equipment went out of control and knocked out a support. No one was hurt. Pictures from different angles show the large rubber-tired piece of equipment caught under the bridge. It is designated as 'a Euclid Carryall'".
