Photograph of can of condensed milk, Southern California, 1934. "Brand Milk; Borden's Eagle Gail Borden Brand, Trade Marks Reg. U.S. Pat[ent]. Off, Sweetened, Condensed Milk, This condensed milk is pure, rich cows' milk blended with refined sugar, and contains no other ingredients. It is the Original Condensed Milk, condensed by process patented by Gail Borden. For protection against imitation, each lablel bears the signature [Gail Borden], Net Weight 15 Ounces" -- on milk can.
