Description Concert performance by Donna Sternberg and Dancers at California State University, Los Angeles on 1989 April 16. Performances include the following: "Love is not a Dirty Word" (1988), the premiere of "Siena's Catherine," a piece based on various paintings of St. Catherine of Siena, a 14th century mystic and visionary who received the stigmata, the premiere of "Parts of a Whole," the premiere of "2Parts 2Gether," and "Pikadon (Flash Boom) (1986). The final piece, Pikadon (Flash Boom), bears the name given by the Japanese of the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. This work depicts, in vignette form, various scenes that were commonplace during and after the dropping of the bomb.
