Berry (president of agriculture association); Stephen Yazell -- 13 years; Ben France -- 15 years.; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Miller. Date: 1956-11-26. Reporter: Tarpley. Assignment: Great Western Livestock show. 14/43/30/29/2/1: 'Calf Scramble.' Stephen Yazell, 13, Route 1, Box 349, Colton, wrestling steer to ground. He finally got steer across white line and won calf. He is member of Grand Terrace 4-H club. 44: Ben France, 15, 18448 Burbank boulevard, Tarzana, 4-H member. Five calves were released. Ten youngsters had chance to catch them and drag across white lines. Five who did won calves. 21/22: Grand champion fat lamb picked last night. With it is Terry Maddux, 11, brother of the lamb's owner, Harry Maddux, 16, of the Kern County 4-H club. The boys live in Bakersfield. Lamb's name is 'Chop-chop.' 33: Grand champion fat steer -- champion of the show. Shown with owner Jay Peterson, 13, 4-H member of Mound Valley, Elco, Neveda. Man with ribbon is Forrest M. Berry, president of 48th District Agricultural Association, sponsors of the show".
