5 images. Flying tigers reunion, 29 June 1952. General Claire Chennault; Joan Petach ("Sweetheart of Tigers" -- her father was killed in China); Marilyn Maxwell; Captain Russell J. Brown (United States Air Force).; Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Sandusky. Date: 1952-06-29. Assignment: Flying Tigers reunion. D 19: General Claire Chennault places locket around neck of Joan Petach, naming her Sweetheart of Flying Tigers. Joan's father, John Petach, was killed in action flying with the Tigers before Joan was born. Mother was nurse with Tigers. D 20: General Chennault receives plaque commemorating flying tigers from Robert Smith, master of ceremonies. D 23: Blond at left, seated at speakers table is Marilyn Maxwell. Next is General Chennault. At podium is Captain Russel J. Brown, United States Air Force, recipient of Flying Tiger Pilot Award. Next [...] is publisher of Daily News.
