“COMPOUND

A MAN'S PRIVATE PRESERVE

Dear Customer,

You are probably aware that the Board of Supervisors has passed
an ordinance regulating some bathhouses. Although we oppose
any attempt by government to regulate our private lives, we do
applaud their good sense by applying this ordinance only to
those clubs "which encourage high risk sexual activity or know-
Paaiy ei low it to occur..."

As you know, The Compound has never encouraged high-risk sexual
behavior, and has been at the forefront of the health education
effort. The fact that we have sponsored safe-sex seminars and
provided the services of a medical professional free to our
Bueeomers iS proof of our commitment.and concern for’ your health,

Because of our commitment to health and our long standing policy
Pegaeting high-risk sexual activity, it is our belief ‘that (ihe
Compound is exempt from the regulations adopted by the Board of
Supervisors. Therefore, we will make no changes in the oper-
Beionior the Club.

We ask for your continued support and good judgement by abstain-
ing from high-risk sexual activities, so we may continue to
Meoviae You with a facility where your right to privacy is
guaranteed, free from governmental regulation.

Pa
Enjoy safe-sex!

Sincerely,

fled Chrode-

Bob Pereida
