Text continues: "May 12, 20; let Aid for AIDS (AFA) make use of those extra coins gathering dust, awaiting a trip to the bank. AFA provides direct financial assistance to persons with AIDS and ARC (AIDS Related Complex) who are in desperate need. The agency provides cash grants for rent, utilities, transportation, medical bills and other basic necessities. Bring your contributions to the business, listed below, on May 19 and May 20 any time during their normal business hours. Please, won't you be a friend, share the gift of love and let AFA use your cents?"Black, teal, and mauve text on white background. ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
A small subset of this material has been digitized and is available online.
