Text continues: "Renew the faith. Believe the promise. Envision the light. Coming out of darkness; the 12th international AIDS candlelight memorial and mobilization; Sunday, May 21, 1995, 7:30 PM, bring a candle and meet us in Lafayette Park (across from the White House) for the march to the U.S. Capitol."Background of the poster contains an image of a clouded sky; in the center is a vertically oriented black triangle containing three color images: a red ribbon, a white lily and a lighted candle. ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
A small subset of this material has been digitized and is available online.
