Description
Text continues: "The stall doors are closed and locked. The riders and their mounts have gone home. But my heart is still at the Golden State Gay Rodeo, Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Los Angeles, California, March 27-29, 1987."Brown text on orange background; orange text on brown background. The center of the poster contains an orange and brown drawing of a wooden door bolted shut with a sign hanging that reads, "See you next year" affixed to the front. The lower half of the door contains the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association insignia, cowboys in front of a golden outline of California. Edges of poster are designed to look burnt.

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
A small subset of this material has been digitized and is available online.
