Description
Text continues: "For the right to privacy; Bowers v. Hardwick; June 30, 1986. On June 30, 1986 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that lesbians and gays have no constitutional right to have sex. With this 5-4 vote and a single bang of the gavel our right to privacy was killed. On June 30, 1989 it is our turn to respond. Join others concerned in the National Day of Mourning for the Right to Privacy. Raise your voice for gay and lesbian freedom on the third anniversary of the Hardwick decision."Black and red text on white background. In the center of the poster is a broken heart overlapping four black bars. Fine print on the bottom of the poster reads: The National Day of Mourning for the Right to Privacy is a joint project of CRY OUT! (Pittsburgh) and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Privacy Project.

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world.
