Text continues: "MIMA (Modern Image Makers Association) is proud to auspice the Melbourne component of Kenneth Anger's Austrailian tour to collaborate with several organizations to present a series of events with seminal figure of several decades from the American underground film tradition and the author of Hollywood Babylon. His work, along with his life-long love/hate relationship with Hollywood and his association with Aleister Crowley, has earned him he reputation as one of Tinseltown's most provocative and enigmatic figures." Melbourne Queer Film and Video Festival screening
of the BBC documentary Kenneth Anger’s ‘Hollywood
Babylon’ at the State Film Theatre, 9.00 pm.
Feature guest appearance at the closing night of
the Melbourne Queer Film and Video Festival at the
Temple, 11.00 pm.
Till 28 March. An exhibition of photography, ‘Anger
Icons’, from Anger's films at the Panorama Centre for
Contemporary Art. Kenneth Anger will be available at
the opening to talk about his films. Opening: 6 — 8pm,
23rd March.
‘Hollywood Babylon’ Night with Kenneth Anger at
Valhalla, 7.45 pm.
Introduction by Kenneth Anger to the MIMA selected
experimental section of the St Kilda Film Festival at
the National Theatre, 6.00 - 7.30 pm.
Kenneth Anger will sign books and talk at a showing
of some of his films at the Hellfire Club, 11.30 pm.
MIMA screening of the Magick Lantern Cycle -
programmes 1&2 with an introduction by Kenneth
Anger at the State Film Theatre, 6.30 -9.30 pm.
$10.00, $6.00 conc. and $4.00 MIMA members.

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
A small subset of this material has been digitized and is available online.
