JCHN BARRETT (Carey-Lee Dunbar)
is a graduate of the American Academy of Dra-
matic Arts. He has appeared in productions of
COMPANY, THE HOSTAGE, SUMMER AND SMOKE, VIET
ROCK, BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE, and MOONCHILDREN.
A native hoosier, he now happily calls New
York City home.
PETER BRANDON (Bud Kelcorn) is a
mainliner from Philadelphia. After a stay at
Lexington, he moved to New York City where he ha
has worked at various times as a writer of
children’s books, waiter, and of course, at
last - an actor. In New York he has appeared
in COMMUNE, MAD DOG BLUES, and HEAVEN GRAND
IN AMBER ORBIT. He once hitch-hiked from New
York to Berkeley in three days.
six years old, and he fewnd the stage to be
his natural home for the last thirteen years.
Has. Néw YOren Credits include: UBU ROL, and
UBU BOUND, RATS, A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM and
AND PUPPY DOGS TAILS. Of his pre-New York
days, Mr. Erickson fondly recalls a school
tour through Idaho which he wrote and direct-
ed. His most rewarding performances on stage
have been with the works of Genet, Shakespeare
ana Stravinesi .
BILL LEONARD (John Hendrix) has
worked extensively in summer stock productions
of CABARET, MAN OF LA MANCHA, FINIAN'S RAINBOW,
and GUYS AND DOLLS. Mr. Leonard played the
title role in BRIDEGROOM OF DEATH, Off-Broad-
way...and was seen in the film BELIEVE IN ME.
He insists one of his favorite roles was the
Cheshire Cat in ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
DAVID GAARD (Author) Since the
production of AND PUPPY DOG TAILS Off-Broadway,
Mr. Gaard has seen his plays presented in rep-
ertory with Jean Cocteau, Jean Paul Sartre,
Peter Weiss and Bertolt Brecht in the United
States and abroad. His adaptation of the
Mainland Chinese People's Play THE WOMEN'S
REPRESENTATIVE was the American entry in
Muestra Mundial de Teatro Experimental...and
is published in THE SCENE/2 (Best Plays of Off
Broadway). Mr.Gaard is the founder of THE
NIGHTHOUSE in N.Y.C. where he has produced
MACBETH, UBU ROI, UBU BOUND, COMING OUT, BRAND,
PIGJAZZ, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ERNEST, MALINI
and HOLOCAUST. He is also currently, PLAYWRIGHT
IN RESIDENCE with THE PERFORMANCE GROUP, New
York's highly acclaimed environmental theater.
At the moment, David Gaard is also represented
by the following productions in performance in
N.Y.C.- Rabindrath Tagore's Nobel Prize winning
play, MALINI, at The Nighthouse; HOLOCAUST - a

The play takes place in John and
Carey Lee's Greenwich Village
apartment last summer.

COURAGE - a new adaptation by Mr. Gaard for The
Performance Group. Currently in rehearsal, THE
MARILYN PROJECT - a new play for The Performance
Group.
MICHAEL DEVEREAUX (Director) made his
film debut at the age of seventeen in Blake Ed-
ward's EXPERIMENT IN TERROR. He has also appear-
ed with Sandy Dennis in SWEET NOVEMBER;_ Jack
Lemmon and Walter Matthau in THE FORTUNE COOKIE;
Kim Novack in THE LEGEND OF LILAH CLARE; and
Mamie Van Doren in METHUSALA JONES. Mr. Dever-
eaux directed and co-produced the original Off-
Broadway production of AND PUPPY DOG TAILS...and
produced THE PHANTOM CABARET STRIKES AGAIN, which
introduced Tiny Tim to the west coast. He isthe
author of DON'T STEP ON IVAN, a comedy produced
in Hollywood two seasons ago. Mr. Devereaux cur-
rently divides his time between his town house in
Greenwich Village and a home in the canyons of
Beverly Hills.
GORDON NEEDHAM (Costumes) comes
from good midwestern stock in central Indiana.
He attended Purdue University and the Parsons
School of Design in N.Y.C. After designing the
costumes for the Off-Broadway production of
COMEDY OF ERRORS, Mr. Needham became one of the
founding members of THE NIGHTHOUSE, New York's
famed experimental theater. There he has won
wide acclaim for his designs for MACBETH, UBU
ROI, and UBU BOUND. He has also designed sun-
mer stock productions of OLIVER; NO, NO
NANETTE; CABARET; and BRIGADOON. His letter-
head reads: "'Gossip and Scandal are the Best
Sweetners of Tea."
J.PETER CULVER (Lights) After
attending school at The Wisconsin Institute
of Mortuary Science, and the theater depts.
at the University of Wiscongin and 1.C.L a4.
he took to the road as a stage manager with
DISNEY ON PARADE. A Professor of Theater at
Fordham University at Lincoln Center; and a
lighting designer at LA MAMA, Mr. Culver has
been Technical Director at THE NIGHTHOUSE
Since it was formed. He has designed lighting
there for THE WOMEN'S REPRESENTATIVE, PIGJAZZ,
and BRAND...as well as overseeing all produc:
tions produc&d there.
BOB LAMPEL (Setting) (with J.
Peter Culver) stage managed every show pro-
duced at THE NIGHTHOUSE during its first two
seasons. In adcition, he has designed light-
ing for THE MAD SHOW, SALOME with England's
Lindsay Kemp...and the settings for the Broad-
way production of TUBSTRIP. Currently, he and
David Gaard are co-producing HOLOCAUST at THE
