Text continues: "Make no mistake. We are at war. We must defend ourselves from these continuing violent attacks on our lives and our culture. Don't be deceived by the mainstream propaganda machine which tells us our righteous rage defeats our cause. History has shown that our liberation will never be won through polite attempts to please the heteros. On the contrary, niceness has only aided in our invisibility and destruction. Our history began with a riot and now everything has come full circle. Only by continuing in our rekindled spirit of rebellion will we achieve our true liberation. Victories are taken not given!"

Description ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
