Coming of Age in the CIA
Friday, October 25, 2019
12 noon – 2 p.m.

at the
University of Southern California
Amaryllis Fox joins us to share details from her riveting new memoir which tells the story of her
ten years in the most elite clandestine ops unit of the CIA, hunting the world’s most dangerous
terrorists in sixteen countries while getting married and giving birth to a daughter.
Following her CIA career in the field, Fox has covered current events and offered analysis for
CNN, National Geographic, Al Jazeera, the BBC, and other global news outlets. She is the cohost of History Channel’s series American Ripper.
Life Undercover is among People Magazine’s Best Books of Fall 2019. Additional praise…
“Gripping… Fox masterfully conveys the exhilaration and loneliness of life undercover, and her
memoir reads like a great espionage novel.”
–Publishers Weekly (starred review)
“Extraordinary… [A] remarkable life…Fox engagingly—and transparently—describes her work
as an undercover agent for the CIA.”
—Kirkus Reviews
