The Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities welcomes
Amelia Jones

Amelia Jones, curator, theorist and professor at USC Roski School of Art and
Design, is the curator of the forthcoming exhibition Queer Communion: Ron
Athey, and co-editor (with Roski colleague Andy Campbell) of the catalogue by the
same name. She will discuss this project on the art and performances of Los
Angeles based artist Ron Athey in relation to the exhibition and to her study of
ideas about queer sexuality in relation to performance and performativity in her
forthcoming book, In Between Subjects: A Critical Genealogy of Queer
Performance. *THIS LUNCHEON IS PRESENTED WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF JUDI DAVIDSON.
