Description
Photograph of view from the side of the Figueroa overpass being constructed above First Street, April 1940. To the right, two men wearing hats can be seen standing next to a generator. The man at right grips a tool in his hand. Behind them, a man stands in a small ditch surrounded by a pipe. In the background at center, at least three vehicles can be seen near a large crane. Another crane is visible in the extreme background. Behind the crane at center, the large overpass can be seen extending from left to right across the street below. Several men can be seen working on different sections of the overpass such as at the columns, on the center body, and to the far right.
