Description
Photograph of a child picking carnations in a carnation field at Redondo Beach, looking east from the Redondo Hotel, ca.1904-1920. The girl, wearing a knee-high dress, stands in the middle of the field holding onto a bundle of carnations. Her hair is combed back and tied on the back. Trees and a few buildings are visible in the distance. "The fields were put in as a tourist attraction." -- unknown author.
