Description
Photograph of Pacific Coast Highway near the former site of Arch Rock, ca.1915. The point from which Arch Rock jutted into the water is in the foreground at center. The large rock formation has been removed to create room for the highway, which winds its way along the coast. There are four early-model automobiles driving along the road at right. More of the coastline is visible in the distance, and the steep cliffs and hills that border the water are covered with low bushes and other plants. Thomas Ince's studio can be seen at the end of the second point. The Mile long pier can bee seen to the left.
