Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Carrion adobe in San Dimas, 1938. The adobe is pictured at center behind a lawn of tall, unkempt grass and shrubs. Two sections comprise the building, each one story, jointed to each other in an "L" formation. The shorter section is shown to the left, a brick chimney visible at the peak of its shingled roof. The taller section stands perpendicular to the right, and faces its narrow side towards the viewer. The spackle has fallen away in small patches all over the facade.; Picture file card reads: "The correct name of this adobe is La Casa Adobe de Saturnino Carion (or Carrion). It was given to Carion by his uncle, Ygnacio Palomares...On the west outside wall of the adobe is penciled 'After many years of wandering through the world I reutrn to the house which was founded by my forefather in the year 1860. F.C. Carrion, 1924".
