Description
Photograph of a view of Figueroa Street looking northwest, Los Angeles, ca.1890. A two-story Victorian-style house is visible to the left, followed further to the right by a one-story clapboard-sided home with a porch, to the left of which a windmill is situated. Figueroa itself stands to the right, a wide, unpaved road in which streetcar rails can be seen. It is bordered by to its far right by picket fencing. In the distance, the city can be seen along with mountains beyond the tree line that stretches from left to right behind the two houses. A utility pole stands in the lower center of the frame.
