Description
Photograph of a view of Broadway looking south from above Temple Street, Los Angeles, ca.1906. The Los Angeles County Courthouse is visible, its clock tower showing over several other buildings along the street to the left. Below, pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages navigate Broadway, in which streetcar tracks can be seen. High rise buildings line the street to the right, where a utility pole stands tall in the foreground. Several billboards are pictured at the bottom left, which read "[...] 5th Store", and "Burns the Shoe Man". The house partially visible in the foreground to the left is either under construction or in serious disrepair. Compares to: CHS-7045. Photo shows similar shot during a different time period.
