Content Saterday evening, at 9, they have removed his body to the first
floor into a special room, "mortuary room",prepared and dressed. All his
friends and all that knew him - a large multitude- were gathered to pay
their last due and respect to him. I took my two sons with me. Zuther
did not go in, but Emmanuel did follow me and remained till the ond,
even showed him his dad's face, poor kid eried bitterly but at the end
stoped, mowing that by ering his father want come back. After the cere-
mony his coffin was put on a special car and with other twenty cars left
the hosital_tugmtm to go to the "New Cemetry" - his last place in this
woPld- an hour's distance outside the city. I took Emmamel withm me
again. Four speakers (haranguers) in the hospital and three at the ce-
metry lauded (to praise, to exalt) the deceased Rev. H, Eskijian's lo-
ving memory, Oh, dear you should have seen that mournful yet, very much
exalted spectacle. Every body old and young ~Armenians and non-ArmeniansS—
wept bitterly . Hundreds and hundeds tried for the last time to show
their love and respect to the forever departed "Badvely" their protecton.

Sunday evening another ceremony was held in the church, It is
very hard for me to relate all, I wish you were here too.
