Dear Richard and Anne Elizabeth,
‘The city of Pasadena and specifically our St. Gregory parish have not been the same
since your photo exhibit. The community is still talking with excitement and will be
sure to remember those most moving images for years to come.
‘On behalf of the St. Gregory Parish Council, Parishioners and myself, I thank you for
allowing us to experience Armenian Churches in Eastern Turkey: A Legacy for Humanity.
Through this presentation you have become new evangelists for our Armenian
community, giving us a much needed shot-in-the-arm dose of faith. The photographs of
our ancient homeland have given voice to the monuments of Armenian faith and courage
~ monuments, which until now were laying silent in captivity. All the talent, time and
energy that you put into this project speaks as a testament to your own personal faith.
‘At St. Gregory were honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to host this
exhibit, Everyone who was involved in the presentation spoke so highly of the
professional manner (something rare in the Armenian community) in which all the
details of the exhibit were executed.
The Etbrect Exhibit is something every Armenian should view and experience. To this
end, I wish to follow up on the possibility of publishing the photos in book form.
Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to discuss it much further with the Archbishop
because of our schedules. I do have an appointment with him next week, at which time
Pil express your thoughts and concern (as mentioned in your e-mail) along with feeling,
the feasibility of such a venture. I will contact you after our meeting.
Again, thank you for everything. May God bless you and your family always with good
health, love and happiness.
Prayers
si
'r. Vazken Movsesian
P.S. Please let me know how we can facilitate the tax-deductibility of your expenses
associated with this exhibit.
