The words; 'I don't kmow!, 'I cantt dot, and/4pecially the word
‘"backdown' were unknown to him, Oh, my God, what a guy he was 11 He was
not a usual and ordinary person,he was a supper-natural man, a saint s0 to
speak.

No barricade, no obstacle or governments strict orders would make
any difference to him, His only goal was the Road of Calvery and help, help
and more help as long as he was alive... He would find various ways - known
to him only ~ to hide the refugees - specially the males - in different
places from turkish persecutions, and females from rape and violations...
If it were possible for him,he would even go and live among them - the hom-
less refugees. In this way, he toiled physically, mentally and soulfully
day and night. Once I overheard him saying to a friend, " Last night T
could never sleep..." He would share their sorrows and grief, Was a father
for the orphan, support for the poorjand unfortunates, consolater to those
in mourning and by words and action/give hope and courage to those despa-
rate ones. In short /egive unlimited help in one wey or other to all like
a Disiple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Besides reaching to physical and external needs, he would give
them spiritual nourishment too. According to the mood and the time,he wou-
ld preach to them to remain faithful to the Lord and be ready to face Him
at the time of death - be it by torture or mere sickness -. He knew like
a prophet what was passing through their minds and what was in their hearts,
so would consol and cheer them up by telling them passages from the
Scriptures and from his own life.

During one of his sermons, he was so touched, so depressed in
heart, that he said; " My dear friends, now it is very clear that, the
CASE of ‘to be Moslem in order to live! , will be put in action by the
turkish rulers. Up till now, we all did suffer in many ways that which a
martyr can face. But,they were nothing and had no meaning to us. How-ever,
I see that this proposal by the enemy, will change the situation a lot,to
a better future. From now on, our sufferences and persecutions will be in
favor to our Lord Jesus Christ, who first suffered for us, for our sins.
To suffer in vain is rather meaningless, but to suffer and die for Jesus, /s
everlasting life by His grace. Hence, be brave and do not grow weak by gi-
ving up your faith. Don't be seduced by deceitful and false words of the
enemy. It is a treason against our faith. Therefore, let us face the glo-
rious and God pleasing death. Beceuse, if we suffer for His name and sake,
so shall we enter into the Heaven with Him as His faithful followers..."

As he preached with such words in the church,so did he spoke to
his orphans whenever he visited them, He used to recite to them, 'Golden

sentences! from the Holy Bible and sing holy hymns according to the gcca~
sion and would persuade them to be brave and faithful in order to bé“frorthy
children of Jesus and enjoy the eternal life with Him in the Paradise.

hen the Turkish govénment wanted to take back the orphans,he was
so sad, so frustrated that, he did not lmow what to do. So, he went to his
orphanage to study the arising situation. When he was there, he couldn't
restrain his inner emotion.iie was so sad and agitated that, he could not
help put sing the following hymn with deep devotion : "The Lord Will Cover
Me..." He covers me, He covers me,..No peril will harm me........"

After that, he took the government's list of names to see how

many extra orphans were not registered there, in order to turn them away to
some secrete places in different towns.
