Description
Photograph of Figueroa Street looking north from Sixth Street, Los Angeles, ca.1915. A two-story Victorian house is partially visible behind the palms trees that decorate its front lawn to the left, with a second further down. The third house lining the side of the street is build in a lavish Romanesque style employing columns. Streetcar rails are visible to the right, embedded in the street. Two children stand along the sidewalk, which is lined by utility poles spaced at regular intervals. A century plant (Agave Americana) is situated on the lawn between the first two houses.
