Title Figueroa Street and Sixth Street looking south, ca.1890
Description Photograph of Figueroa Street and Sixth Street looking south, ca.1890. In the extreme foreground at center, a wide, dirt road can be seen extending at an angle to the left. At center near a small utility pole, another dirt road can be seen intersecting the wide street. A thick hedge borders this road to its immediate left. Parallel to the wide street, a long sidewalk can be seen. In the background at center, three large houses are visible. Each home is at least two-story with distinct architectural features. A large rectangular section capped with a sharply sloped roof can be seen extending from the center of the house to the far right. A small tower with parapets and a small cylindrical section topped with a conical roof can be seen extending from the house at center.
