Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the manufacturing plant of RCA Victor (Radio Corporation of America) Building, 1900. The building stands at center with its shaded entrance on the right and plants lining the lefts side of the front wall. The large "RCA Victor" sign stands over the windows at center with a protruding circular sign that just reads "RCA. A thin pole extends from the top of the building on the right. A metal fence reaches from the building to trees on the far right and more trees stand on the far left.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
