Description
Photograph of a well dressed gentleman standing knee deep in Playa del Rey lagoon, looking east, ca.1902.A well-dressed man stands knee-deep in a lagoon in Playa Del Rey, looking towards the sandy, brush-covered mountains in the east. The gentleman, whose pants are rolled up above his knees, is holding his shoes in one hand and is holding a cane in the other. Across the water, two buildings can be seen, and, on a sandbar in the middle of the lake, there is debris of some sort. There are ripples in the otherwise calm water around the man, and the water is choppier in the middle of the lagoon.
