Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Mount Palomar Observatory showing the dirt path leading to it, ca.1930-1940. In the center, the glistening dome of the observatory is visible with its shutter openings on the right and the doors at the concrete base. A worn dirt trail that begins in the center foreground of the image leads up to the observatory doorway. Bushes and weeds surround the path while a large boulder sits to the foreground in the bottom left of the image.
