Description
Photograph of the view of the distant Colorado River from Panorama Point, Grand Canyon, 1900-1930. The river cuts a narrow channel through the canyon floor from steep slopes rising on both sides of the river. Plateaus and mountains rise from the canyon floor surrounding the river. A peninsula of eroded rock juts out from the left covered with trees and brush. Part of the near rim is visible at right.
