Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Lick Observatory on Mount Hamilton, California, ca.1904-1909. The great dome (the Crosby Dome?) and a smaller dome sit atop a large building at center. The astronomers' residence is the three-story building in front of this building. Another small dome and a complex of smaller buildings are visible at left on another hump of the mountain slope. A road runs along the crest of the mountain in the foreground at right. Low vegetation grows in the general vicinity.
