Description
Photograph of the first electric streetcar between Los Angeles and Pasadena, ca.1900. The streetcar tilts to the left as it rounds a turn, loaded with passengers. Surrounding it are the poles that create the latticework for the streetcar's cable support, behind which is a line of trees. What appears to be the spire of a church is visible in the right background. The car service itself began on May 30th, 1894. Photoprint reads: "Note that this may also be first car into Alhambra in 1901".
