Description

Photograph of a man in a suit standing in front of a building with opened doors, [s.d.]. The man can be seen at center wearing a suit with an unbuttoned suit jacket. His tie appears to have polka dots on it, and he holds his fedora hat in his right hand at his side. He appears to have a smirk on his face. He can be seen standing on a stair that is second from the top, while two sets of opened double doors can be seen on the building behind him. Decorative carvings can be seen in the arch above each set of doors, while a column can be seen between the two sets of doors. The building appears to be partially composed of brick. The building is possibly Royce Hall at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960

Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
