Photograph of Mexican dancers, showing the male dancer dressed like a gypsy, [s.d.]. In the foreground to the right, a male and female dancer can be seen. The male dancer on the left can be seen wearing a bandanna, scarf, sash, and buckled shoes. The dancer's arms are arched above the head of the female dancer. The female dancer on the right wears a long dress with a floral design. Around her waist, a large shawl is visible. To the left of the couple, a man can be seen sitting on the edge of a circular fountain while playing a guitar. In the background to the left and right, additional dancers are visible. In the extreme background, a large building with a tile roof can be seen.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
