Photograph of birdseye view of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company factory, ca.1930. The Goodyear Factory is pictured at center, and is surrounded by farmland. The main entrance of the complex is right of center, while behind it, what appears to be a courtyard is visible. A train can be seen traveling towards the factory from the far right. To the left of the track a water tower and a series of utility poles are visible, while in the distance a large residential area stretches the width of the image.

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
