Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Southern Pacific depot, located at Fifth Street and Alameda Street, showing automobiles, 1926. The Southern Pacific depot, a three-story building with many rows of paned windows, fills the centerground of the image, running along the paved street that crosses the image diagonally. Text above the entrance of the building reads "Southern Pacific" and "Central Station". A streetcar sits to the left of center, in front of the depot, while parked automobiles line the street in the right foreground. Other automobiles drive along the street in the left foreground. A building reading "Ice & Cold Storage" is visible in the background.
