Description
Photograph of newly arrived passengers from the East posing in front of their Southern Pacific train during the "Boom Days", ca.1885. Around thirty passengers are arranged in front of the train; still more look out from the windows. Most of the men are dressed in Western civilian clothes, although several of the railroad men are visible as well. There are several women in long dresses, and even a child on the left side of the image. Almost everyone is wearing a hat.
