Description
Photograph of line of trolley cars moving through a busy city, Long Beach, 1914. At center, three trolley cars can be seen moving along a set of tracks in the middle of the road. All three trolleys appear to be carrying several passengers. The head trolley has a white banner hung along its side. The small sign above the face of the trolley reads: "Redondo Ave". Small metallic rods extend from the tops of each trolley to a wire above. On both sides of the road, several automobiles are seen parked. Along the sidewalks next to the road, several groups of people walk and stand beside the large buildings. In the background, several buildings can be seen. In the extreme foreground to the right, part of a brick building obscures the photograph. Description on the back of the photograph reads: "240, 830, and Train at 3rd and Pine in Long Beach-- 1914".
