Description
Photograph of a giant dredger at Yuma, [s.d.]. Several men in hats and overalls stand at the front left corner of the wooden dock which supports the giant dredger on the right. The frame of the dredger is shaped like a pyramid with a beams forming a rectangle protruding from either side. What appears to be a small, lightly-colored station at the dredger's center is labeled "Delta" and faces the glass-like water which surrounds the massive dock. An appendage of the dredge extends over the water on the right with wires operating through a pulley system to lift a chained object in the water below. People stand along the bridge which emerges from the tree-lined bank in the background.; Photoprint reads "Cost -- 7500. Capacity 175 ton per [...]. Length of beam 145 feet".
