Description
Photograph of a view of the new bridge across the Stanislaus River for the mother lode highway at the site of the old Robinson's Ferry crossing of 1849, Melones, ca.1930. The bridge is level on top with many trees on the bank behind, while arches comprise the bottom of the bridge that extends over the river. The banks are rocky with weeds scattered in the dirt while the water in the river barely ripples.
