Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Los Angeles Knitting Company's Hollydale Building, ca.1925. The side of a brick building is visible in the center while what appears to be the front entrance sits on the left. The windows to the left are glossy and have striped awnings while the windows on the right appear to be less decorative and more functional. A couple stands to the right on the sidewalk that surrounds the building while another couple stands on the left and three more people stand close to the doorway. The street corner to the left has a large puddle while a water tower is visible in the background to the left of center.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
