Description
Photograph of an oil well owned by the Standard Oil and Construction Company, Garden Grove, February, 1922. The tall, wooden derrick stands at center with a wooden structure at its base below. A small, brick structure stands in front of the derrick and to the left with machinery on its roof and two tall, darkly-colored pipes against its right wall. A small, house-like building stands behind the brick structure on the left with trees obstructing the view of its front walls. A tall cylinder balances on a thick, wooden support frame on the right while a field of trimmed grass lies in the foreground.
