Description
Photograph of an external view of Senator James Jones residence in Santa Monica, California, ca.1900. The Victorian style house stands at about two stories tall. Two round turrets flank the balcony above a vine covered front porch. A dormer window sticks out of the shingled incline roof. Ornamental edges trace the peaks of the roof. Three footpaths form a T-intersection at the beginning of the stairs that leads to the porch. In the foreground at the left and right, a palm and several trees can be seen. In the extreme foreground along the path, a variety of plants populate the well-manicured front lawn.
