Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of Los Angeles from the Westminister Hotel showing mostly residences, ca.1885-1890. Residential buildings can be seen in this view looking west on Fourth Street on Main Street. At least three pine trees can be seen in the foreground, obscuring some of the two- to three-story residential buildings that are visible throughout. A road can be seen at left that runs to the center background up a small incline. The Herman Hellman residence can be seen on the corner. Legible signs include:"[...] lay grain and feed".
